Street Eagle Motorcycle Rentals to donate money from women customers to breast cancer

March 3, 2009 – Milwaukee -- Street Eagle Motorcycle Rental locations around the country will donate five percent of every rental by a woman rider to breast cancer research in 2009. This year alone, it is estimated there will be approximately 180,510 new cases of breast cancer diagnosed. Street Eagle is hoping its contributions will help lower this number in future years. Participating locations include: Milwaukee, Phoenix, Tucson, Scottsdale, Las Vegas, St. Augustine, Jacksonville, Daytona Beach and Salt Lake City. For additional information, contact Street Eagle Milwaukee by calling 414-438-7433 or online at www.streeteaglemilwaukee.com.

The parallels between women bikers and cases of breast cancer were a factor in Street Eagle selecting breast cancer research as a good charitable fit. The average age of a woman motorcycle owner is 42; while the risk of a woman developing breast cancer increases over the age of 40. Additionally, there has been a 29 percent increase in the percentage of women motorcycle owners since 2003. In 2003, 9.6 percent of owners were women compared to 12.4 in the first nine months of 2008 (the most current information available).

“By donating to breast cancer research, we are sending a message to our women riders that we care about them,” says Michael Short, owner, Street Eagle Arizona and Milwaukee. “It is our hope that when women are deciding where to rent a motorcycle from, they will do business with us and get the satisfaction of knowing that it will help other women fighting a deadly disease. Having fun and doing good are both things we prioritize and want to promote to all of our customers.”

By renting from Street Eagle and automatically donating to breast cancer research, women can do something good for themselves and other women.”
