Celebrates 12 Years of Motorcycling the Airwaves

Chicago, IL. Jan 2nd 2009 - Open Road Radio, America's Premiere Motorcycle Lifestyle Program is celebrating its 12th Anniversary of cruisin' the airwaves.

Gina Woods, co-founder, producer and host, said, "The only thing I enjoy more than Open Road Radio is having the wind in my hair as I head down the highway on my bike."

While you tune up your machine, tune into The 9’s FM: 92.5, 92.7, & 99.9 11am-12 pm (CDT) on Sundays. Riders all over Chicagoland, northern Illinois, and parts of Wisconsin, Michigan and Indiana listen every week. If you can't get to a radio, crank up your computer and listen on line at www.openroadradio.com

Open Road Radio features interviews with motorcycle riding celebrities such as Jay Leno, Peter Fonda, Robbie Knievel, Lorenzo Lamas and Branscombe Richmond. Other interviews include leaders in the motorcycle industry, from manufacturers to fabricators. From racers to club members, to publicists. You might hear the hosts discussing how to rebuild, restore or customize your brand of motorcycle.

In this Motorcycle Lifestyle program you could hear the latest product review, insurance tips, tech tips, rally events, travel bits, and race results including interviews with legends like: Ricky Carmichael, Chris Carr, Jeremy McGrath, Ben Bostrom, Nicky Hayden, or Angelle Savoie. And you most likely will hear Bystanders Assistance program representatives and MSF reps discussing motorcycle safety and education.

Listeners don't just listen. They call in to tell us what they think, to ask questions, comment and to win fabulous prizes.

Hear what's happening at motorcycling rallies such as Daytona, Laconia, Sturgis, Honda Hoot, Americade, Laughlin, Love Ride or Myrtle Beach...often while the events are still in progress.
